Big news for Zombies fans. Next Monday sees the re-release of 'Time of The Season', and the four surviving members will be performing 'Odessey and Oracle' live next March! Has anyone bought tickets for that yet?? From the Ace Records website:
"Ace are excited to announce a flurry of Zombies related activity over the coming months. The first thing which you may have spotted already is the use of the group’s psychedelic pop soul classic ‘Time Of The Season’ in the current Magners advertising campaign.
Ace will be releasing 'Time Of The Season' as a CD single on Monday 14th May, we’re hoping that the song which reached number 3 in the US Pop Charts back in February 1969 will belatedly see some UK chart action.... If you are new to the band be sure to check out the album which the track was taken from “Odessey and Oracle” - one of the finest pop records of the 1960s.
The album which Ace reissued back in 1998 will also be coming out in replica LP packaging (on 28th May) as part of our limited edition ‘Hip Pocket’ CD series.
As an added treat for fans the four surviving members of the band will be perfoming the album live at Shepherds Bush Empire in London on the 7th and 8th of March 2008 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of it's release. Check www.colinblunstone.co.uk for further details."

Hi Modcentric! The Repertoire has released an edition of this album that has more bonus tracks than Ace's and sort of makes the box redundant, together with Repertoire's edition of their first album (it has roughly 30 tracks). No paper sleeve though.
(Why can't all cds be released as lp replicas?! They look better and take less space...)
heh i don't like lp replicas because i tend to misplace them amongst the "regular" cd cases. plus i can't read their spine when i shelf them. i really need to start sorting my cd shelves...
But they're so stylish and take such little space, plus they maintain vinyl sleeve aesthetics. I pay extra cash for that.
Now I want to be grumpy and have a big argument with you. In the meanwhile though, best regards from Norway :)
My LP replicas get torn up too quickly. I try to avoid buying them.
