Stereo Total - Tokyo Mon Amour
Stereo Total, featuring the core duo of French singer Francoise Cactus and German Brezel Goring, fuses retro-sounding French pop with lyrics sung in different languages (Italian, Japanese, French, English, among others). Morose is from their first album, Oh Ah! (1995), while Tokyo Mon Amour is from My Melody (1999). Apparently, they performed in Singapore last year (!) for some German art fest. Unfortunately, that was before I'd discovered their music. Pity, cos I bet they would have been great live. Francoise's voice reminds me a lot of Brigitte Bardot's.
