Although the Quests were a Singaporean household name by themselves in the Sixties (see earlier post), they appeared as backing group for many of EMI's budding artistes, including Rita Chao. EMI felt that doing so would allow the new artistes to ride on the wave of the Quests' popularity. "Pretty Flamingo" was one of Rita's bigger hits with the Quests.
