Hi Modcentric :) I don't know how easy it's to get Japanese imports in your part of the world. In Europe and the US it's a hassle. But if anybody else from those continents is reading this, Minty Fresh put out an excellent Karie comp (worth ten times its money), Le Grand Magistery (very nice label) the Kkkk album, and Siesta a cute ep. These releases are still available, I believe - at least they can be found at several indie dealers.I don't have the actual cd in front of me, but I believe Stereo Total accompanied Karie on several songs on Kkkk. Do you know?
Stupid me, these releases are all listed at Audiolunchbox! Will have to check if I can access that site properly (it's down for maintenance). Many commercial download sites are blocked to Europeans...I believe experienced that with this one once.On that subject, do you know any good mp3 stores in Japan that have a menu in English? I can only access the European depeartment of iTunes. Bugs me...
We get some Japanese imports here but they are very pricey. Hence I get them second hand on eBay. I haven't seen any Japanese mp3 sites that are bi-lingual, or that would be really helpful! I use EMusic (www.emusic.com) which is excellent for sourcing independent releases, and I just found out they have Siesta releases too! Have you tried Soundbuzz (www.soundbuzz.com) before? It has a decent selection of Asian tracks cos it's based in this region. There's My Little Airport, as well as the Recollecting Singapore cds available there.
This cannot have effect in actual fact, that's what I consider.
