Katherine and the Firebyrds!

I didn't have enough information or a photo about Katherine and the Firebyrds when I first posted this, but now I do! And I like this song so much that I think that warrants a repost. =) The band only had 1 album, this EP. One of the tracks featured was written by Robert Suriya, of The Boys. EMI was interested in signing a contract with Katherine but without her band so she declined. She later married one of the band's guitarists. Thank you to Sharon and Chiau, for photos and background info.

This could have been HUGE for Lesley Gore! Is it too late? Lesley, are you out there?

Thanks for reposting this song as i missed it last time.
And what a top song it is with the great vocal, twanging guitars and James Bond undercurrent it could easily have been a theme tune from one of the films.
I would be interested to hear more from this group anytime you are ready.

Ahhh, that's really sad. Was looking forward to more. Well I'm grateful to you for providing this gem - and what a gem. How unfortunate that they didn't record more, they were obviously talented. Fab sound! Cheers. Les.

Does anyone know of a place to conver an EP to CD/DVD? If this can be done, then I maybe able to re-release the other 4 songs.

This was indeed great. Anyone up for more 60s goodies from Singapore and Hong Kong might want to check out When Sleeping Beauty Sang, where a couple of tracks are currently available.

converting vinyl records to CD/DVD can be done by connecting the turntable to a computer's soundcard. you can refer to this page or this page for instructions.

alternatively, some places have vinyl-cd conversion services. in singapore, one place that i know of is at City Plaza #02-90 tel(67483917). they charge $24 per 1 hour of vinyl record, so if you have several EPs that add up to 1 hour of playing time, you can get them converted at one shot!

hope this helps! =)
