A truly fab cover of Love is Blue! I really like the spoken verse in the middle of the song. The identity of the male vocalist is a mystery, as is the blurry guy in the photo above. Maurice Patton (of The Melodians), or Simon Junior (Patrina's labelmate)? The Melodians were an A-Go-Go instrumental band who also recorded on their own, besides backing artists like Patrina and Simon Junior.

Did I send you the version by Heather w/The Thunderbirds? It was just a great song.
Don't know how or why, but I have more Melodians records than any other artist. One of them features Patrina, covering These Boots Were Made For Walkin', Besame Mucho, and a version of Unchain My Heart, where she her vocals are sometimes out of tempo with the music.

Hi, this is very funny to hear, when did she record this version? Well, I know it does not sound nice, but I still do prefer the original version of Vicky Leandros from 1967.
Since i downloaded this last year it sort of became my theme song, or the song that defined the year. I moved house for a spell with just a couple of cds i'd assembled (unheard of for me!!) one of them containing this gem, and the rest is history!! How I wish I could find a copy of the 45! Then I could dispense with all my other horrid records.
So i guess 'Thanks' doesn't quite cover it!!!
